Most of us are in a place of striving where we can’t yet see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Lord has given us Big promises that we have stood on and fight in the spirit with, But yet still there is nothing yet tangible for us to hold onto. As I was praying this morning for strength and courage to push forward in the face of what looks sometimes like defeat and the Lord reminded me this is January. This is the month the Lord has been highlighting as a time of the “New” springing forth seemingly out of the Blue. The Lord is reminding us that in many cases we will not see these thing coming towards us, but that one day we will wake up and things will start happening. We are restless because we feel as though we have been ensnared so we start fighting and striving, not realizing that we are being held in place by the Lord so that we can rest as we grow. Just as a teenager can sleep all day, and because of the fast rate they are growing. They are also very clumsy because they have not grown into their new bodies. This is an example of what we are doing spiritually the Lord is working hard behind the scenes to grow us and to raise us into the people that He can use to touch others in the kingdom. This is a time of rest so that our mind can catch up to the growth of the spirit. Sometimes when the Lord gives you a new gift or is growing you. It is then you become a little more clumsy, and fumble around looking for some sort of grounding. This is only until you get your coordination back and are now taller and stronger than before. Know that if you are anchored in the Lord you will not drift far before the anchor catches you and pulls you back. You are not drifting aimlessly, the Lord will pull that chain and you will be right back in his presents.
