LET YOUR HUNGER & THIRST PROPEL YOU

By Tiffany Bretana

There have been a few times in my lifetime that others have made me feel inadequate either in my Christian walk and relationship with the Lord, or what the Lord has called me to do. Their comments and actions ranged from: My walk or relationship with the Lord is deeper than yours, you’re called to office of the prophet?, God told you to stand for that?, you think you’re a healer, and the list goes on and on………. And there have been times quite honestly that there have been a few people along my path whom I was like Lord I want to have a relationship like that with you?

We as His children must NOT allow these things to dissuade us from our relationship and walk with the Lord. A relationship is a connection, association, or involvement.

1. connection between persons by blood or marriage.

2. an emotional or other connection between people: the relationship between teachers and students.

It’s personal between the two that are involved. I could have gotten angry or bitter but I decided to not take the offense. The enemy of our souls would delight in us taking the bait of the offense and have us to defend, justify, and vindicate ourselves. But, instead I took it into prayer. He’s our Defender, our Justification, and our Vindicator.  The relationship you have with the Lord is what you make of it. Nothing you have to prove, the Lord will reward those things you do in secret, publicly.

Matthew 19:14-15 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
