The Ladies With The Lamp

By Tiffany Bretana

The Lord told me the other night the name Florence Nightingale. Upon doing research of who she was on, there were a couple things the Lord highlighted to me. She was a TRAILBLAZER in the nursing industry, who greatly affected 19th and 20th century policies around proper care. She defied the expectations of the time and pursued what she saw as her God-given call, which she believed the vocation to be her divine purpose-nursing. She was determined to to pursue her true calling despite her parents’ objections and refusing marriage to pursue her call for something beyond a domestic life. She became known as “the Lady with the Lamp” by soldiers who were both moved and comforted by her endless supply of compassion, while others called her “the Angel of the Crimea”. Her work reduced the hospital death rates by two-thirds. All of this can be read on, click link below.

Florence Nightingale –

What is the Lord saying through this?

There have been positions where there has remained glass ceilings for women of faith. The Lord is raising WOMEN TRAILBLAZERS to take industries by force for the Kingdom of God. They have given up much of what is the social norms of what is expected of them, to PURSUE what they believe is their GOD-GIVEN CALL, despite naysayers and opposition. They will be called THE LADIES OF THE LAMP.

Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violent assault, and violent men seize it by force as a precious prize.
Galatians 3:28 There is now no distinction in regard to salvation neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you who believe are all one in Christ Jesus no one can claim a spiritual superiority.

John 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of Christ to the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and recognize and honor and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Isaiah 14:27 For the Lord of hosts has decided and planned, and who can annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?”
